A Brief History of Conifer
Conifer developed from Bradford Junction, a meeting point for stage roads linking Denver with mountain mining districts. Around 1860, a stop with a hotel and restaurant served travelers passing through. The area later adopted a name drawn from its evergreen forests, while local preservation work keeps its stage-route and schoolhouse history visible.
