Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
The Gunnison River has cut a deep, narrow canyon through exceptionally old rock, creating steep cliffs, rugged spires and striking viewpoints. Visitors can explore overlooks and trails along the rims, camp, watch wildlife and experience the canyon from several perspectives. Road access differs by rim and season, so check conditions before traveling.
